OpenTeddy Core vs Desktop

OpenTeddy consists of two products:

  • OpenTeddy Core: Free and open-source software released under the MIT License. No purchase required.
  • OpenTeddy Desktop: A paid desktop application with enhanced features and user experience.

7-Day Refund Policy for OpenTeddy Desktop

We offer a 7-day refund policy for OpenTeddy Desktop.

  • If the product does not work as expected or you encounter technical issues, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase.
  • Please contact: m31527@gmail.com
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
  • We may deny refund requests in cases of abuse or excessive usage.
  • Once a refund is issued, the license will be deactivated.

OpenTeddy Core (Free Version)

Since OpenTeddy Core is free and open-source software, there are no purchases, subscriptions, or payments required. Therefore, refund requests do not apply to OpenTeddy Core.

Third-Party Services

OpenTeddy integrates with third-party services that may have their own costs:

  • Anthropic Claude API: Charges apply based on your usage. Refund policies are governed by Anthropic's terms.
  • Local Models (Ollama): Completely free to use with no associated costs.

Supporting the Project (Core Version)

If you choose to support OpenTeddy Core development (e.g., via GitHub Sponsors, Ko-fi, or "Buy me a coffee"), please note:

  • Support contributions are voluntary and help fund the open-source project's development and maintenance
  • Support contributions are generally non-refundable unless required by law in your jurisdiction
  • Support does not entitle you to any specific features, priority support, or Desktop access
  • Support is separate from OpenTeddy Desktop purchases
  • Support is appreciated but not required to use OpenTeddy Core

How to Request a Refund (Desktop)

To request a refund for OpenTeddy Desktop, please email us at m31527@gmail.com with the following information:

  • Your purchase order number or transaction ID
  • The email address used for purchase
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Description of any technical issues encountered (if applicable)

We will process your request within 3-5 business days and notify you via email.
